Counselor Information |

About Counselors
Counselors (ages 17+) at SVSC are the backbone
of the Camp. They are chosen on the basis of their maturity,
responsibility, and ability to function well in leadership roles. Counselors
are also called upon to assist and teach many of the classes and activities
during the Camp.
These are some of the attributes considered when selecting counselors:
- Past counselor performance for returning counselors
- Number of years attended as a camper and/or counselor
- KYS experience
- Special talents or skills such as Knowledge of Hindu Religion, dancing or
singing, Red Cross Certifications
Counselors are expected to
- Attend the full one week Counselor Training Course, which starts one week prior to the start of the camp, and
- Attend the full 2-week session of camp.

All counselor applications must be received by March 31, 2012.
